Board of County Commissioner's in regular session with the following Resolution
be 'adopted:
"The following Resolution of the Board bf Comity Commissioners of the County of
Washington, State of Pennsylvania, relative to the issue by the agid County of a note for One
Hundred Thousand ($1009000.00) Dollars as a temporary loan, was presented, duly seconded and
adopted by said Board, to-wit:
WHIMM It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sun of One Hundred
Thousand ($100,000.00j Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1949,
and to be payable out of taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed and are to
be levied and collected by the County during the year 1949; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Wash-
ington, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the
County, the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorised and directed to negotiate
a temporary loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which are
to be levied and collected during the year 1949, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary
to repay said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and
issue a note therefor, payable August 5, 19499 with interest from date of said note at the
rate of one (1) per cent. per annum, free of an taxes levied by the CoumuormwIth of Pennsyl-
vania, which said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be
negotiated and issued as follows:
WASHINGTON 1NION TRUST COMPANY, Washington, Pa.................................. IOQ, .00
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controllers be authorized to
advertise for use in the Bridge Department, Official Traffic Signs and Nuening Signs.
Notion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this timeq the
meeting adjourned.

Motion duly made and seconded that the Budget for the General Few of the County
of Washington for the fiscal year 1949 be finally adopted as advised bjr hs County Commi.ssieae ,
the said. Budget craving been available for public inspection in the Office of the Chief Clerk
to the CountyCandesioners from,February lS, 1949, to this date, in aoo with than pro-
visions of the Act of Assembly of July 189, 1935.9 and the rate of taxation upon the va2vation
of properties of the County of Washington, in order to tax sufficient revema to oxcart.required
expenditures for the fiscal year 1949, be fixed at seven (7) mills, which makes the payment
of taxes in the amount of seventy (70) cents upon each $100.00 of assessed valuation of real.
estate and occupations.
