Notion by Mr. Turner, Commissioner from Westmoreland. County, seconded by Mr.'
Pettit, Commissioner from Washington County, that the bids be tabulated and awarding of the
contract be deferred until a later date.
Notion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the
meeting adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs.
Pettit and Lane.
Minute Nos. 100, 101, 102, 103, 1049 1059 106, 107, 108, 109, 1109 1111 112, 113
114 and 115 were read and approved.
The following action was taken with the Board of Commissioners sitting as the
Registration Commission.
Motion duly made and seconded that the Registration Office be opened Tuesday
Evening, May 17, 1949, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. to accept registrations and to perform all other
duties in connection with the Office.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the
meeting adjourned.

A special joint meeting was held in the Court House, Washington, Pa., on Monday,
May 23, 1949, with the Boards of Washington and Westmoreland County Commissioners being present
The members present were as follows Commissioners Francis B. Pettit, W. J. Lane, Henry J.
Lowstuter and Deputy County Controller Dentel, all of Washington County; Commissioners Frank K.
Cochran, J. Calvin Turner, W. Everett Noel, and Solicitor Vincent S. Williams, all of West-
moreland County.
The meeting proceeded with Mr. Pettit, Commissioner from Washington County
acting as Chairman of the meeting.
