Pettit and Lane. Notion duly made and seconded that Castle Shannon Coal Corporation be refunded $50.13 on the 1948 County Tax, (Coal - inactive) on property described as lit? Acres Coal, situate in Hopewell Township; said payment is a duplicate of payment made August 2, 190, in amount of $43.30 for 1948 County Tax (paid at face less 5% discount) paid on same property. The Tax Claim Bureau is authorised to prepare said voucher for the refund of this duplicate payment. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer is hereby authorised to cancel the tax sale of March 21t, 1942, for the non-payment of 1932, 1933, 1934, 1935 and 1936 County and City taxes and the 1931, 1932, 1933, 19349 1935 and 1936 School Taxes on the property assessed to McPherson and Simmons situate in Monongahela, Third Ward, described as 2 story Frame House and Lot 77 Harrison Plan - 609 Fair Alley, 2 Story Brick Reuse and 76 Harrison Plan - 611 Fair A11ey, inasmuch as the 1934, 1935 and 1936 County, School and City Taxes had been paid. (1/5 payment for the said years had been made wrier Act 233 'ender date of November 1, 1937, and the balance paid by Act 150 under date of October 261, 1943, (first Payment and the balance of the payments on October 11, 1944); and 1/5 payment having been made for the years 1931 and 1932 under Act 150 and the balance due being paid at face. The Tax Claim Bureau and the Office of the Prothonotary are hereby directed to mark their records accordingly. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the following Resolution be adopted: RE�O�IIT IOC WHERFASO It appears that by County Treasurers Sale of April 2, 1945, property described as "Lot - 228 Franklin Avenue - Block 120, in the lot Ward of the Borough of Canon- sburg, was sold to Tony Abraham for $11.81 and that such amount was paid to the Cowty Treaswrex by the purchaserls check, and WHEEUM.. said sale was for non-payment of 1939 School and Borough Taxes assessed against the said property in the 'name of Daisy Monsour; and WHEREAS., There was no such property corned by or assessable to the said Daisy Monsour and consequently such property could not properly become the subject of a delinquent tax sale; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED,, That the aforesaid Treasurers SL a of April 2, 1 5k, purporting to sell certain property of Daisy Monsour to Tony Abraham for $11..81, be and it is hereby declared to be null and void; and
