LOWSTUTER, COMMISSIONERS meeting adjourned. July 8, ATTEST: NO. 132 Office of the County Commissioners Washington; Pa., July 8, 1949 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Pettit and Lane. Minute Nos. 116, 117, 118, 119, 120, 121, 122, 123, 124.9 1259 126, 127, 128, 129, 130 and 131 were read and approved. Motion duly made and seconded that Edward Garry be appointed as a Clerk in the Registration Office for the year 1949, effective July 11, 1949, and covering the period from date to the first Monday in January, 1950. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that John Bevec, Chief Clerk, is here- by empowered to approve any vouchers for payment in our name and in our behalf until our return from the Convention of the National Association of County Officials. Motion carried. Motion duly made ae seconded that Nevada I. Bovier, of Marianna, Pennsylvania, refunded the 1948, 1947, 1946, 1945 and 19" County Taxes on the property described as Lets 52 and•79, Colonial Heights Plan, South Strabane Township; said payments were a duplicate of pay - meats by C. H. Spriggs, righti+al owner of said lots. The above lots being sold to George and Nevada I. Bovier by the County Commissioners at Sale No. 601, dated November 1, 1943. Said Can misuioners+ Sale being cancelled by County Commissioner's Minute No. 107, dated April 2, 1%9. The Tax Claim Bureau is authorized to prepare said voucher for the refund of this duplicate Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the following Resolution be adoptedt aIA2k9X X 21 Be it resolved by the County Commissioners of Washington County, that the plans submitted by the Department of HigkwWs for the changing of State Highway Route 268,,SecticA 3.1 East Pike Run Township, between stations 659448 and 662440 left, have been examined and the County Commissioners agree that the county will assume liability for any and all property-4smage resulting from the construction of the highway as contemplated by these plans, and also all damages arising out of any change or alteration of drainage resulting from the construction or maintenance of the highway. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the resolutions pertaining to private sale of property for unpaid County, School and Road taxes be adopted.
