LOWSTUTER, COMMISSIONERS Motion carried with the regular order of business being carried on by the Board of County Commissioners. Motion duly made and seconded that the bid of the Columbus Mood Preserving Company, Columbus, Ohio, for the furnishing and delivery of Treated Lauber as per specifica- tions in its bid of July 22, 1949, for the sum of $1987.00, be accepted; it being the lowest and best bid received. Motion carried. Motions duly made and seconded that William Bomus be appointed as Assistant Engineer in the Boiler Room, replacing Tony Mastrangelo, for the year 1949, effective August 1, 1949, and covering the period from that date to the first Monday its Janua2y,, 1950. Motion carried. The following action was taken with the Board of Commissioners sitting as the Registration Commission, Motion duly made and seconded that James Nalinky be appointed as Clerk in the Registration Office for the year 1949, effective August 1, 1949, and covering the period free that date to the first Monday in January, 1950, Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that Preston K. Hammers be re -appointed to special work in the Registration Office from August 1, to August 35, 1949. Motion carried, with the Registration Commission discontinuing. Notion duly made and seconded that the bid of the International. Business Mach - Ines Corporation, Pittsburgh, Pa., for furnishing an Electric Executive Typewriter be accepted as the best of the two bids received; the amount of the bid being $552.16, Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer is hereby authorised to cancel the tax sale of April 22, 1940, for the nowt -payment of the 19311, 1932, 1933 and 1934 County, School and Borough taxes on property assessed to David W. Martin, described as a dupli- cation with that of Falconer Beira. The Prothonotary, the County Treasurer and the Tax Clain Bureau are hereby directed to make the proper entry in their records, u u
