Office of the County Commissioners

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs.
Pettit, Lane and Lowstuter.
The organisation of the Board of County Commissioners, effected on the first
Monday of January, 1948, continued in accordance with the provisions of the Act of Assembly
of 1929, (County Code), to wits Francis E. Pettit, Chairman of the Board, W. J. Lane, Secre
and the third member of the Board being Henry J. Lowstuter.
First in the order of business was the confirmation of the appointment of Join
Bevec, Chief Clerk to the County Commissioners, David H. Weiner, County Solicitor, and John L.
Harris, Sealer of Weights and Measures for the year 1950, each of the foregoing appointments
having been made the first Monday in January, 1948, for a four-year period.
Notion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the following named persons
be employed in the Office of the County Commissioners in the respective capacities set forth;
these appointments retroactive to January 2, 19503
