After discussing the bids, motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the bids be tabulated and the awarding of the contract be made at a later date. Motion carried. LOW9.TUTER„ C13MMISSIONERS R ' February 16, 1950. 4 Motion carried. j Lotion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer is hereby directed to cancel the tax sale of March 24, 1942, for nova -payment of the 1936 delinquent County Tax as I I property assessed to Mary Kulik situate in the City of Washington, 8th Ward, and described as !vacant lot #47 Hayes Avenue. In view of the fact that this property was incorrectly assessed I jto Mary Kulik,at 890 Ewing Street and carried on the books from 1937 through 1947 as Hayes i (Avenue. This lot was sold to Washington County for the 1936 County Tax only in the name of ! 1Mary Kulik who owned other property but who never owned such a lot as was purported to be sold ! Ito the County. The correct assessment of the above has been put on the Assessment Records for the years 19" through 1950 and described as lot 047 Hayes Addition - Isabella Street; The � � 6 'proper owner of lot #47 Hayes Addition -Isabella Street is Grant Moninger. The Prothonotary, the Assessment Office and the Tax Claim Bureau are also directed to correct their records accorr- f ingly. Motion carried. Notion duly made and seconded that the Treasurer's Tax Sale, dated March 24.. i I 1942, Purporting to sell plot #9, Washington Investment Co." in Rest Bethlehem Township, be 'cancelled as this sale was based on supposed tax delinquency for the years 1935 & 1936, whereas, ,this property was properly assessed to Walter Losonsky who conveyed the same to John P. Foxier, IEt Uc by deed dated September 9, 1941, and recorded in Deed Book #650--Page 150. The Lot #9 !assessed to Carl & Edna McCuen in 1935 & 1936 was a mis-description as the Assessment should have read Lot #39. All records should be corrected to conform with the above information. o Motion carried. I Motion duly made and seconded that the following Resolution be adopted: j I WHEREA S, the School Board and Council of Al.lenport Borough have each respective passed a resolution requesting corrections of the assessments of Freeport coal assessed to Joseph A. Mahler for the years and to the amounts hereinafter shown: NOW..
