Washington, Pa., February 20, 1950
Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs.
Pettit, Lane and Lowstuter.
The following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of
Washington, State of Pennsylvania, relative to the issue by the said County of a note for One
Hundred Thousand ($100,000.00) Dollars as a temporary loan, was presented, duly seconded and
adopted by said Board, to -wit:
WHEREAS,. It has become necessary for said Board to borrow
the sum of One Hundred Thousand ($100,000.00) Dollars for the pur-
pose of meeting current expenses for the year 1950, and to be payable
out of taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed and
are to be levied and collected by the County during the year 1950;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the
said County of Washington, that for the purpose of providing funds
for the payment of current expenses of the County, the proper officials
of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a
temporary loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable
out of taxes which are to be levied and collected during the year
1950, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to repay said loan,
with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose,
and issue a note therefor, payable August 5, 1950, with interest from
date of said note at the rate of one per cent. per annum, free of
all taxes levied by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which said taxes
the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be
negotiated and issued as follows:
WASHINGTON UNION TRUST COMPANY, Washington, Pa ........... ...... .... .......*.. ..$100,000.00
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the proposed budget for the
Washington�County General Fund for the year 1950 be made available for public inspection in
the Office of the Chief Clerk to the County Commissioners until March 17, 19501, on which date
the said budget will be finally adopted and the rate of taxation fixed for the year 1950, and
that the following public notice be given in the Washington Observer:

In compliance with the provisions of the Acts of Assembly
covering such matters, the proposed budgets for the financial affairs
for the Washington County General Fund and the Washington County Instit-
ution District for the fiscal year 1950 have been prepared and are
available for public inspection in the Office of the Chief Clerk to the
County Commissioners, Court House, Washington, Pennsylvania; said budgets
to be finally adopted on March 17, 1950.

Motion unanimously carried, with Mr. Lowstuter excusing himself from the
Motion duly made and seconded that Samuel Gennaula be appointed as Carpenter at
the Court House; this appointment being retroactive to February 16, 1950.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that Rosalia Amatangelo be appointed a Clerk in
the Office of the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes; this appointment being retro-
active to February 16, 1950.
