NO., 186 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., March 20, 1950 Joint meeting of the County Commissioners and the County Controller called for the purpose of opening bids in accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller for the printing and delivering of the necessary ballots for the conduct of the Primary Election on Tuesday,, May 16, 1950, and also for the furnishing and delivery of the necessary election sup- plies for use at the said Primary. Present for the County Commissioners were Francis E. Pettit and Henry J. Lowstuter. George F. Roule, County Controller was also present. ° In accordance with the aforementioned advertisement, the following bids were d ( opened: 'JOINT PROPOSAL OF: MONONGAHELA PUBLISHING COMPANY„ MONONGAHELA. Commissioners of Washington County Washington, Pennsylvania Gentlemen: In accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller, inviting proposals for the printing and delivery to the Office of the County Commissioners the necessary ballots for the conduct of the Primary Election to be held Tuesday, May 16, 1950, having expined the attached specifications and understanding the same, I (or We) propose to furnish said ballots in accordance therewith at the prices set forth: Approximately 110,000 regular white official ballots: Price per thousand for ballots furnished.... In accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller, inviting proposals for the furnishing and delivery to the Office of the County Commissioners supplies to include tally sheets, return sheets, envelopes, numbered lists of voters, voters certificates, Election Officers' Manuals, etc., required for use of the election officers at the Primary Election to be held May 16, 1950, having examined the attached specifications and understanding the same, I (or We) propose to furnish these supplies in accordance therewith, for the sum oft A certified check in the amount of $100.00 is enclosed herewith. Motion by Commissioner Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the contract for the printing, furnishing and delivery of the necessary ballots for the conduct of the Primary Election to be held Tuesday, May 16, 1950, be awarded to the Monongahela Publishing Company and the Ward Printing Company on their joint bid. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the contract for and delivering the necessary election supplies for the conduct of the Primary Election to be held Tuesday, May 16, 1950, be awarded to the William G. Johnston Company, Box 6759, N. S... Pi burgh, Pa., for the sum of $3455.94. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the bid of T. M. Bedillion, R. D. #4, Washing- ton, Pa., in the amount of $395,00 for delivering Election Supplies to an Judges of Election for the Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, May 16, 19501, be accepted.
