Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs.
Pettit and Lane.

Motion duly made and seconded that June 14, 1950, Flag Day, be observed as a
Legal Holiday.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorized to ad-

I vertise for One Hundred Seventy (170) Cubic Yards of Transit Mixed Concrete for use at McCon-

! nell's Mill, bridge over Chartiers Run, Chartiers Township.

Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorized to adver-
tise for the furnishing and placing of a Surface Treatment Course on the Bitwdnous Wearing y
Surface of various County Bridges and for the furnishing and placing of a new Bituminous Wear-
i
ing Surface on Six (6) County Bridges.
Motion carried.
! Motion duly made and seconded that Bert A. Gallagher be appointed Assistant '
I
Engineer in the Boiler House, replacing Louis L. Comer; this action being retroactive to June
11; 1950.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that a refund voucher in the amount of $4.10 be I
made payable to Otto Goreck, 104 Chess Street, Monongahela, Pa., said refund to cover the Per-
sonal Property Tax paid by Otto Goreck, dated August 31, 1949, on 10 shares of General Electriel
Valuation 390, Westinghouse 15 shares valuation 375, Standard Brands 13 shares valuation 260, �
i for the year 1949. This stock being declared exempt by the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that a refund voucher in the amount of $12.64 be

made payable to Anna Novak, 1176 Beech Street, Washington, Pa., present owner of property for-
merly assessed to Albert H. and Josephine Beall, South Strabane Township, described as Four
a
Room House, Lot 18, Ashmore Farm; said payment being a duplicate payment of one paid on July
i
i 16, 1949, by the First Federal Savings and Loan Association, R. D. #1, Waynesburg, Pa. The
i
Tax Claim Bureau is authorized to prepare said voucher for the refund of this duplicate payment
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meet-1
ing adjourned.
