RRSOLUTION
WERM, By Resolution dated August 4, 1950.. the County of Washington did agree
with the Secretary of the Army to acquire the necessary lands, easements, and rights -of -fir for
;the prosecution of the local Flood Control Project on Pike and Gorby Rtma, East Pike Run Township,
iWashington County, Pennsylvania, and

WHEREAS., the great majority of said lands, easements and rights -cif -way have been
jacquired by releases executed by the property owners on the same, and
WHEREAS, a certain few of such property owners have failed and refused to execute
;releases unless and until the County of Washington will assume responsibilities for the damages
;that may be sustained by them in connection with said Project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County of Washington agree to assume
Iresponsibil.ity to the property owners concerned for all just damages that may be sustained by
them in connection with the giving and granting of such lands, easements and rights -of for ;
the complete project of the Flood Protection Project on Pike and Gorby Run, East Pike Run Town- i
dship., Washington County, Pennsylvania., and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County, through its Board of Commissioners certi-6
fy to the Secretary of the Army and to the United States of America that it has acquired all the
lands, easements and rights -of -may required for the said project, the area limits of which are
1shown on the drawing furnished to the County of Washington by the United States, and giving and
jgranting to the United States permission to enter thereon for the purpose of prosecuting the
Isaid Flood Project.

A meeting was held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 1, 1950, for the purpose of
opening bids for the furnishing or the furnishing and installing of a Docket Case for use in the
Prothonotary's Office. Those present at the meeting were Commissioner Pettit and Controller
Roule.
In accordance with the aforementioned advertisement, the following bids were
opened:

In accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller inviting proposals
;for furnishing or the furnishing and installing of one (1) Double Faced Docket Case with contin-I
uous linoleum top for use in the Prothonotaryts Office containing the following specifications:
1. The double faced case shall contain space for 98 dockets, 49 dockets on each
side.
I 2. Shelves shall be of roller type with bronze rollers.
3. The dimension of the shelves shall be lg 3/16" x 4 2/4" x 13 3/2" and each �
shelf shall be adjustable.
4. Each side of the case shall contain seven sections with room for seven docketo
in each section. '
