Beard of County Commissioners in special session, those present being Messrs. Pettit
and Lane. Mr. Lowatuter having notice of the meeting but being absent.
The following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Wash-
ington, State of Pennsylvania", relative to the issue by the said County of a note for Seventy -
Five Thousand ($75,000.00) Dollars as a temporary loan, was presented, duly seconded and
adopted by said Board, to -wit:
WHEMS, it has become necessary for said Board to borrow
the scam of Seventy -Five Thousand. ($75,000.00) Dollars for the
purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1948, and to be
payable out of taxes and other current revenues which have been
assessed and are to be levied and collected by the County during
the year 1948; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOD by the Board of County Commissioners of the
said County of Washington, that for the purpose of providing
funds for the payment of current expenses of the County, the proper
officials of the said County are hereby authorised and directed to
negotiate a temporary loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by
them, payable out of taxes which are to be levied and collected
during the year 1948, and so such of said taxes as may be necessary
to repay said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and desig-
nated for that purpose, and issue a note therefor, payable
August 5, 1948, with interest from date of said note at the rate
of one (1) per cent. per annum, free of all taxes levied by the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which said taxes the County of
Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated
as follows:
GENERAL FUND SINKING FUND COMMISSION ... ....$75,000.00
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs, Pettit
and Lane. Mr. Lowstuter having notice of the meeting but being absent.
Deputy County Controller Dental called into the meeting for the pumpese of opening
bids in accordance with advertisement of the County Controller for supplying seventy-five (75)
cubic yards of Transit mixed Class B Concrete in the abutments of the Nbble Bridge, Buffalo
Creek No. 22,.loeated on Township Road No. 611 in Blaine Township. There being no Bids reeeivee,
Mr. Dental was excused from the meeting.
Notion duly made sad seconded that the following persons be named to the Official
Return Board to compute the votes cast at the Primary Election held April 27, 1948:

W. W. Croner Gino P. Amanati
Ada Donnan Donald C. Hallam
