Board of County Commissioners -in regular session, those present being Mr. Cummins, p Mr. Pettit and Mr. Lowstuter. Motion duly made and seconded that a lease be -executed between Washington County Commissioners, for Washington County Agriculture Extension_ Association, -and Masonic Temple Association, covering rental of roam situated on the northwest corner, first floor, now known as the Club Room, and certain other privileges mutually agreed upon, for the period of one year, at an annual rental of $840.00, payable $70.00 monthly, in advance. Motion carried:. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting was adjourned. County Controller Stuart called into the meting for the purpose of opening bids in accordance with advertisement of the Controller for the printing and delivering to the office of the County Commissioners the necessary ballots and election supplies required for the conduct of the Primary to be held Tuesday, May 21, 1946. In accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller, inviting proposals for the furnishing and. delivering to the office of the County_. Commrissioners supplies to include tally sheets, return sheets, envelopes, numbered lists of voters,__voterIs certificates, etc. (Voter's Guides not to be included), required for use of the election officers at the Primary Election to be held May 21, 1946, having examined the attached specifications and understanding the same, I (or We) propose to furnish these supplies in accordance therewith, for the sum of $ 1068.80 ± A certified check in the amount of $100.00 is enclosed herewith. Proposal of William G. Johnston Company, to furnish special._ _supplies required for i the senatorial election, consisting of separate numbered lists of voters} return papers, i ballot wrappers, return envelopes and computing sheets, for the sum of $283.25., opened and read* I i Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that action be. -deferred on awarding of the contract for printing of ballots, for -the purpose of -studying the bid. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the bid of William G. Johnston i Company,, in the sum of $1068.80, for furnishing election supplies for the conduct of the i s Primary to be held May 21, 1946, be accepted, and that the proposal -of said company for furnish•► j ing supplies for the special senatorial election,. for the sum of $2$3.25, also be accepted. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the proposal- of T. M. Bedi=11= of R. D. ,'Washington, Pa., for delivering ballots, ballot_baxes. and other election supplies to the 187 Judges of Election, for conduct of the Primary to be held May_21, 1946, for the sum of $299.50, be accepted.
