O'NEIL, COMMISSIONERS In accordance therewith, the following bid of W. C. Black Agency, being the only one re- ceived., was opened and read: W. C. BUCK AGENCY I We respectfully submit the follasing quotation for Public Liability Insurance, limits $1.5,000.00 to $300,000.00., as per schedule attached hereto., for a term of three (3) years, effective at noon, I I June i, 1946: j Premi.um for Public Liability Insurance is: $ 260.00 To be placed with the following company: j Hartford Accident & Ind. Co. 1 Certified check in the amount of $50,►00., made payable to Harvey Stuart, Controller, is enclosed. Motion by Mr. Pettit„ seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the -above bid of W. C. Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the request of The Bell Telephone i Company of Pennsylvania for the erection of a pole., anchor guy and underground conduit on property i of Washington County at the Donora-Webster Bridge, as shoen on Bell. Telephone Company Plan i i 50-R-4096-M. submitted 5-2-46, it being understood that no portion of this installation shall be in contact with the bridge structure at any .point. j Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorised to cancel tax sale of January 22, 194os for the non-payment of 1930 County Tax, and the sale of April- 22, 194o, for the ! { non-payment of 1931s 1932s 1933 and 1934 County, School and Borough Tact and 1931 Bond Tax., of property situate in the Borough of Bentleyville and described as 03 lots #3-4-5 Oaks Flan.", assessed in the name of John Puskarich, inasmuch as these assessments are duplications with those i of Anton and Katherine Puskarich, the rightful omers, for .said years. O'NEIL, COMMISSIONERS Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel the following tax sales: i A it 22.9 1940.,1. for the non-payment of 1931, 1932 and 1933 County Tax, of property assessed In the First Ward of the City of Washington,_ described as "Storage House 98 West widen Street" f erroneously assessed in the name of Mrs. Harriet Hunt, whereas the rightful owner was C. S. i Hunter Company, who paid the taxes for said years. i Aril 2991940 for the non-payment of 1931 and 1932 County Taxr of property situate in the Ward of the City of Washington, described as "Shop & Lot 47 Rural Avenue", assessed in s the name of Rush S, Henry, inasmuch as the taxes -for said years were paid by Mr. Henrys ! receipts being presented to verify said fact. a i March 24 1942 for the non-payment of 1935 County Tax, of property situate in the Sixth Ward Of 3e Gi o Washington, described as "House and lot, Wilson Avenue", erroneously assessed in the name of Margaret Millers whereas Margaret Miller was not the owner of any property ! on Wilson Avenue for said year. Jan. 24 1940, for the non-payment of 1928 County Tax., of property described as "House and lot 5 Hig�Plan", situate in the Seventh Ward of the City of Washington, assessed in the name of W. W. Cameron, inasmuch as this assessment was a duplication with that of "Hall", the rightful owner of said lot, Jan. 24, iA0 for the non-payment of 1928, 1929 and-1930 County Tax, of property described as mouse and 'Lo s 57 & I of 58 Pennsylvania Avenue", situate in the Seventh 'hard of the City of Washington, assessed in the name of W. T. Sickels, inasmuch --as this assessment was a duplication 1 with that of Theodore Grudi, the rightful owner of Lot No. 57s and Lot No. 58 was sold by the ( County to Eva Zimerman prior to the date of this sale and, therefore, could not be re -sold. A ri1 22,9.�1940, for the non-payment of 1932 County Tax, of property described. as "House and Lot 126 Maple Avenue", situate in -the Seventh Ward of the City of Washingtons, assessed in the name of Charles Mankey, inasmuch as this was sold in errors said taxes having been paid March 19s 1939• Jan. 24, 191t0, for the non-payment of 1929 and 1930 County Tax, of property described as "House awl Lot 1108 Sycamore Streetfls situate in the Seventh Ward of the .City of Washington, assessed in the name of Edward Craig, inasmuch as this was a duplication with the assessment of W. G. Porter for said years. March 41942 for the non-payment of 1935 and 1936 County Tax, of property described as scant fom9,Cor. Wellington and Summerlea", situate in the Seventh "hard of the City of Washington., assessed in the name of Mrs. Emma Glenn, inasmuch as this_ description was in errors Lot No. 348 being situate on the corner of Wellington and Summerlea and owned by Henry D. Horn. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the Commissioners accept the invitation to attend the Convention of the National Association of County Officials., -to be held in Cincirmatti, Ohio. on June 17th, 18th and 19th. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the request of Colin Swingle. fozmier County employee, for two weeks vacation pay, in the sum of $75.00, to which he was entitled upon his entry into the Armed Forces on Feb. 28, 1944, in accordance with policy of the Board in effect at that times, it appearing from the records that said sum had not been paid to him.
