PETTIT, JOHN N. O'NEIL, COMMISSIONERS NO. 173 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., July 3, 1946 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Mr. Cummins, Mr. Pettit and Mr. Lowstuter. Minute No. 172 read and approved. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel Tax Sale of April 3, 1946, in the name of the Monongahela National Bank, covering property assessed in the Borough of hest Brownsville and described as "House &Lot, Adjacent M. Margo", inasmuch as this property was previously sold at Treasurer=s Tax Sale of January, 1940, and sold subsequently, by the County Commissioners under date of March 23, 1943, to H. J. Stapleton. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel Tax i 1 Sale of April 25, 1940, of property described as "Vacant lot rear 432 Park Avenue", in the Second Ward of the City of Monongahela, assessed in the name of G. L. Bayha Estate, inasmuch I as this assessment is a duplication with that of Agnes Myers. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the following Resolution be adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the County Commissioners of Washington County, that the plans submitted by the Department of Highways for the changing of State Highway Route 62127, Section No. 1, in Buffalo and Canton Townships, between Stations 98,25 and 199�30, have been examined { and the County Commissioners agree that the County will assume liability for any and all I property damages resulting from the construction of the highway as contemplated by these I plans and also damages arising out of any changes or alterations of drainage resulting from the construction of this highway, i Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorized to advertise I for the printing of 5,000 copies of the Controller's Report for 1945. Motion carried. I Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr, Lowstuter, that Louis Mesey, of Canonsburg, Pa. i be employed in the Court House as Assistant Engineer, replacing Colin Swingle, resigned, 1 effective July 5, 1946, and covering the period from that date to the first Monday in January, 1947, with the proviso that he may be dismissed upon thirty days? notice. Motion carried, with Mr. Cummins and Mr. Lowstuter voting "Yes", and Mr. Pettit voting "No".
