O'NEIL, COMMISSIONERS NO. 176 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., July 19, 1946 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Mr. Cummins, i Mr. Pettit and Mr. iowstuter. Minute No. 175 read and approved. Deputy Controller Dentel called into the meeting for the purpose of opening bids received in accordance with advertising of the County Controller for the printing of 5,000 copies of the i II Controller's Report for 1945. The following bid, being the only one received, was opened and read: i NOTES PUBLISHING & PRINTING COMPANY: In accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller, inviting proposals for printing of ! 5,000 copies of the County Controller's Annual Report for 1945, having viewed the copy and understanding the same, I (or We) propose to perform this work in accordance therewith, as follows: To printing 5,000 copies County Controller's j Annual Report for 1945, to contain approximately 52 printed pages, including pictures, for which ' cuts will be furnished. Bind and Cover as per sample submitted. Total Bid .........................$ 585.00 ¢, Charge for each additional 4 pages over 52 pages .................$ 39.80 i Credit for each 4 pages reduced under 52 pages ................... 33.00 Allowance for blank pages............ ............................$ 3.25 A certified check in the sum of $50.00 is herewith enclosed. Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the above bid be accepted and contract awarded to Notes Publishing & Printing Company. Motion carried. i j Deputy Controller Dentel excused from the meeting at this time. J 4 Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the signing of an Agreement I between Washington County and Allegheny County Workhouse and Inebriate Asylum, for a period I beginning July 1, 1946, whereby the rate of maintenance for each prisoner at that Institution is fixed at $1.00 per day, with the additional charge of the sum of 830 for transportation of each discharged prisoner to the County Seat.
