Board,of County Commissioners -in regular session,,.those.present being Mr. Cummins,
Mr. Pettit and Mr, Lowstuter.
Minute No. 191 read and approved.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel Tax
Sale of April 3, 1944, for 1938 County, School and Road Taxes assessed in East Pike Run Township
against Dora Havrill on property described as "House & 3 lots 50-51-49-lest Side Land Co. Plan.",
inasmuch as said property was previously sold to Washington County on -April 25, 1940, and
subsequently sold by them -on June 12, 1944, to Red and Mike Vokovich.

Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the Office of the Board for the Assessment and

Revision of Taxes be authorised to refund the ,amcunt of $3,85 .in favor of Clarence and Catherine
Hamilton, Box 52, Finleyvi.11e, Pa., representing 1946 County Tax on Lots No. 22-23, valued at
600.00, Peters Township, assessed in duplication, the said -lots -having -also been assessed to
Clarence and Catherine Hamilton as "`5-Room House and Lots 20 and 21", on which 1946 County Tax

was paid July 8, 1946, these lot numbers being in -error as -indicated by the deed of record and
+ as verified by letter from J. F. Bell, Peters Township Assessor, that the said Clarence and
I
Catherine Hamilton own only two lots, viz. Lots 22 and 23, on which is erected a 5-Room house,
I
the said duplication having been caused by an error in description of the two lots owned by
the parties aforesaid; the Tau Collector for Peters Township to be notified of this duplication
j for the year 1946 and the assessment records for the said year, as well as for 1947, to be
corrected accordingly.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the -resignation of Paul J.
Pettit, maintenance Superintendent and Draftsman in the Engineering. -and Bridge Departments, be
accepted, effective at the close of the pay period October 15, 1946, andthat he be paid the
gross sum of $137.50 in lieu of two weeks vacation to which he is entitled for the year 1946
in accordance with the policy of the Board.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board -at this time, the meeting
was adjourned.
