Board of County Commissioners -in regular session, those present being Mr. Cummins.,
Mr. Pettit and Mr. Lowstuter.
Minute No. 192 read and approved.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel Tau Sale
I
of April 3, 1944, for 1938 County, School and. Road taxes assessed in -the Borough of New Eagle against
Elizabeth M. Pritchard, on property described as "Fr. House and Lot #6, Riverview Plan, First Ave."
inasmuch as said property was previously staid to Washington County on April 26, 1940,-and subsequently
sold by them on June 25, 1945, to Ida M. Hudspeth.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and second that the County Treasurer be authorized to void the following
Tax Sales and cancel and set aside the liens thereof, for the reasons set forth belom

k described as "Vacant Lot", also sale of April 29, 1940 for 1932, 1933 and. 1934 Counts assessed
against property of H. U. Seaman, described as "'Vacant lot - Springfield Avenue", inasmuch as thesel
w assessments are a duplication with property of Rosie Carlet Estate, sold to -Washington County on I
April 26, 1943, and subsequently sold by thew to J. W. Reed.
Sale of January 24, 1940, for 1927 County Tax assessed against property of E. E. Evans, described
as "Lot East Murray Ave.", inasmuch as investigation indicates that such pr FWW-3oes not exist.
Sale of January 24, 1940, for 1928 County flax assessed against property of P. M. Rush, described
as "House and Lot 295 Railroad", inasmuch as investigation indicates that such property does not
exist.

as "12 lots, Tylerview Plan", inasmuch as this assessment was a duplication_v_11=i of Winfield
Reed.

Motion duly made and seconded that the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes
I
be authorized to prepare voucher for refund of the sum of $6.42 in favor of Olive Grimes, Coal
Center, Pa., representing 1946 County Tax paid on two houses whose combined valuation was
� $1,000.00, assessed in error in the name of theTictor LaRosa Estate in -East Pike Run Township
i for the year 1946, but actually owned by Olive Grimes, by whom_the said tax was paid at discount

and which houses were removed prior to January 1, 1946 but no notation of such removal having
jbeen made by the local Assessor for the said year,
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the following Resolutions be adopted:
RESMUTION

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Commissioners of,lashington County that the
plans submitted by the Department of Highways for the changing of State
Highway Route 108, Section 11, in North and South Strabane Townships,
between .Stations 120/00 and 33g25, have been examined and the County
Commissioners agree that Washington County will not assume liability for any
property damages resulting from the construction of the above highway as
contemplated by these plans, or any damages arising out of arq changes or
1 alteration of drainage resulting from the construction or maintenance of
f this highway.. or any damages resulting to any property -or holdings of any
fi Public Utility Company; nor will the County of Washington assume any
damages resulting to any coal or other minerals in and underlying any
property affected by this improvement.
RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVE) by the County Commissioners of_WashingtonCounty that

Traffic Route 31, Section 2, in Somerset Township, between -Stations 352�00
and. 665¢5O, have been examined and the County Commissioners agree that
Washington County will not assume liability for any property damage re-
sulting from the construction of the above Highway as contemplated by
these plans, or arW damages arising out of any changes or alteration of
drainage resulting from the construction or maintenance -of this highway,
or any damages resulting to any property or holdings of any Public Utility
Company; nor will -the County of Washington assume any damages resulting
to any coal or other minerals in and underlaying any property affected by
this improvement.
