Motion duly made and seconded that the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes
be authorized to prepare voucher for refund in the amount of 8 in favor of Mr Ida �

a Woodward, McKean Ave., Charleroi, Penna., Speers Borough, representing duplicate payment of 1946 �
County Tax on "l Lots Nos. 496-497-498 in the Maplevierwr Plan" assessed at ,600.00, said tax having
( been accepted by the County Treasurer from John and Thelma Ellenberger, Sr., for part of Lot 496
and Nellie M. Mills and Mary S. Houseman.for Lots 497-498, all in the MapleviewPlan.
Motion carried.

Motion duly made and seconded that the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes
be authorized to prepare voucher for refund of the sum of $17.55 in favor of Herbert and May
Mackey, 702 South Central Avenue, Canonsburg, Penna..* North Strabane Township, representing i
duplicate payment of 1946 County Tax paid on a 9 Room House and 4 Acres of Surface assessed in

total at $2600.00, said tax having been accepted by the County Treasurer from,the Govern Real Estatd
Company, Canonsburg, Penna., both payments having been made at face_ in the amount of $17.55 on
August 30, 1946. j
Motion carried. {
Motion duly made and seconded that the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes be `
authorized to prepare voucher for refund of the sum of $2.97 in favor of R. William Thompson,

Hanlin Station, Penna., Jefferson Township, representing payment of 1945 County Tax on a "Shanty i
and 4 Acres Surface" assessed in total at $400.00, which property was assessed in error by the local
assessor from Edgard C. Thompson and wife to R. William Thompson as "near" in 1945 - said tau being
accepted by the County Treasurer in the amount of $2.97 on December 5, 1945s, from R. William �

Thompson, who never held title to the property in question and therefore is not liable for the taxed.

Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that Carmella. Gilmore, of Canonsburg,
Pa., be employed as Registrar and Inspector of Registrations in the -Registration Office for the
year 1946, effective November 123, 1946, and covering the period from that date to the first Monday
in January, 1947.
Motion carried, with Mr. Cummins and Mr. Lowstuter voting #Aye", Mr. Pettit not voting.
Motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr, Cummins, that John Lombardo be employed as a
Clerk in the office of the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes, effective November 12,
1946, and 'covering the period from that date to the first Monday in January, 1947.
Motion carried, with Mr. Cummins and Mr. Lowstuter voting "Aye", Mr. Pettit not voting.
Motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that Raymond Curley, of Charleroi, Pa.I
be employed as a Clerk in the Office of the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes, effecti
November 16, 1946, and covering the period from that date to the first Monday in January, 1947.

Deputy Controller Dental called into the meeting for thepurposeof awarding contract,
for furnishing and delivering coal for heating the Court House and Jails in accordance with
advertisement of the County Controller therefor.
Motion by Mr. Loxstuters seconded by Mr. Pettit, that contract for furnishing and
delivering coal for heating the Court House and Jail be awarded to -Champion Coal Comapanys
409 Wood Street, Pittsburgh 22s Pa.s upon their bid of $5.26 per ton, delivered from Lindley
Mine into bin as set forth in Minute No. 200s dated Nov. 4s 1946, theirs -being the best bid in
+ the opinion of the Board.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this times the meeting
was adjourned.

Motion duly made and -seconded that the bid of Frank Malinosky for the property of
Waverly Coal Company in Independence Township of $3.1..000.00, as the highest bid received therefor

be accepted,, and upon receipt of said $110000.00 that a deed for the said property be executed
and delivered to him.

Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorized to advertise
for the furnishing and delivering of one 2-Door Special DeLuxe 1946-Plymouth Sedan.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this times the meeting
was adjourned.
