Controller Stuart called into the meeting for the purpose of opening bids received in accordance with advertisement of the County Controller for the furnishing and installing of One Rectigraph Daylight Duplex Photo -Recording Machine and Accessories. In accordance therewith, the following bids were opened and reads THE HALOID COMPANY, 2-20 Haloid Street, Rochester, New York In accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller, inviting proposals for furnishing and installing in the Court House of the County of Washington, in room to be designated by the County Commissioners, One Rectigraph Daylight Duplex Photo -Recording Machine and Accessories, having examined,the attached specifications and understanding the same, I (or We) propose to furnish and install said items in accordance therewith at the prices set forth: j 1 - Rectigraph Daylight Duplex Machine, with Std. The above prices are quoted Net F.O.B. shipping points, If order is placed, shipment will be made prepaid and actual prepaid freight charge added to invoice. Terms are Net 30 days and all prices are exclusive of Manufacturers, Federal Excise Taxes since county offices are exempt from all taxes through execution of an_exemption certificate which should accompany order. PHOTOSTAT CORPORATION, 907 Empire Building, Pittsburgh 22, Pennsylvania Ruling by Chairman Cummins that the bid of Photostat Corporation is not acceptable, inasmuch as it does not cover equipment as advertised for by the County Controller and is not i presented on uniform proposal blank. I Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuier, that the bid of The Haloid Company be rejected, inasmuch as it was stated in letter accompanying bid that "Prices on the items indicated by asterisk are subject to change without notice". Motion unanimously carried. I Controller Stuart excused from the meeting at this time. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorized to readvertise for bids on the furnishing and installing of photographic recording equipment, bids to be opened January 24, 1947.
