OINEIL, COMMISSIONERS NO. 226 Office of the County Commissioners Washington., Pa.p February 24., 1947 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Mr. Cummins., Mr. Pettit and Mr. Lowstuter. Minute No. 225 read and approved. Motion duly made and seconded that Benjamin H. Gilmore be appointed as Tax Collector I in Union Township., to fill the vacancy caused by the death -of W. M. McVay., regularly elected Tax Collector therein., a petition requesting such appointment having been presented to the Board by the members of the Board of School Directors and Board of Supervisors of said township. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lowstuter., seconded by Mr. Cuamins., that Marjorie Premro be employed as a Clerk in the office of the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes for the year 1947, effective March 1. 1947, and covering the period from that date to the first Monday in Januaryp 1948. Motion carried., with Mr. Pettit not voting. Motion duly made and seconded that the proposed budget for Iftshington County General Fund and Washington County Institution District for the year 19)4.7. be made available for public inspection in the office of the Chief Clark to the County Commissioners until Monday.. March 17., 1947, on which date the said budget will be finally. adopted and the rate of_taxationfixed for I the year 1947, and that the following public notice be given in the Washington Reporter and Washington Observer: NOTICE In compliance with the provisions of the Acts of Assembly governing such matters., the proposed budgets for the financial affairs for Washington County General Fund and the Washington County Institution District for the fiscal year 1947 have been prepared and are available for public inspection in the office of the Chief Clerk to the County Commissioners., Court House., Washington., Pa., said budgets to be finally adopted on Monday., March 17, 1947.
