Board.of County Commissioners in regular session, specially called$ those present
being Mr. Cummins, Mr. Pettit, and Mr. Lowstuter.
Motion duly made and seconded that the Chief Clerk be authorized to advertise a Public
Sale of the following automobiles belonging to Washington County, in the Public Meeting Room of
the Court House on April 2, 1947, at 11tOO a.m.t

The above automobiles may be inspected at any time prior to the sale by inquiring at the Washington
County Garage between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.; terms of sale to be 251/10' at the time
the automobile or automobiles are sold to the highest bidder, the balance upon delivery of
certificate of title therefor; and the right is reserved to reject any or all bids, and to
continue the sale from time to time, if necessary.

There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
was adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Mr. Cummins,
Mr. Pettit and Mr. Lowstuter,
Minutes Nos. 231 and 232 read and approved.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel Tax Sale
of April 26, 1943, to Washington County Commissioners, for the non-payment of 1937 County, School
and Borough Taxes assessed in West Brownsville Borough against E. R. Prickett and described as
"Fr. House & Lot, Main St., adj. Peter Waseko", inasmuch as said property was formerly sold on
April 27, 1940, to Washington County Commissioners as the property of Margaret Chew Est., for the
non-payment of 1933 and 1934 County, School and Borough Taxes, and resold by them on October 5,
1942, to Mell Deskins.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes
be authorized to prepare voucher for refund of the sum of $14,18 in favor of Steve Vernaarsky and

Isabelle Simcox, West Brownsville, Pennsylvania, as per tax receipts on file, representing
payment of 1946 County Taxes on (a) House and Lots 21-22-23 Binnstown, assessed at $1,000.00,
i
and (b) Service Station and Lots 16-17-18-19-20 Binnstown, assessed at 1,100.00, making a total
assessment of $;;2,100.00 in Centerville, said tax being a duplicate of that paid by the First
Federal Savings and Loan Association of Greene County, Waynesburg, Pa., which holds the mortgage
and, therefore, assumes responsibility for the taxes on this property. This tax,was paid by
the First Federal Savings and Loan .Association on August 1, 1946, and by Steve.vernarsky and
Isabelle Simcox on August 31, 1946.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes
be authorized to satisfy liens for 1941-42-43-44 45 46 County, School and Road Taxes entered
by said Board against property of G. Corrado, c/o Coal & Coke Inst., Box 731, Connellsville,
Pa., said property being situate in Peters Township and described as 6.786 acres of coal, the
Board of Commissioners having determined that the liens were entered in error and should be
removed.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the execution of a Release of
Damages by Mrs. George (Irene) Glass in favor of Washington County, dated March 12, 1947, for
and in consideration of the stun of Twenty --five ($25.00) Dollars, in connection with the re-
building of Miller Run Bridge No. 10 known as the Glass Bridge, located in Cecil Township,
and abutting on Township Road No. 662.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the execution of a Release of
Damages by Mrs. John Lutz, in favor of Washington County, dated March 17, 1947, for and in
consideration of the sum of Seventy-five ($75,00) Dollars, in connection with the rebuilding
of Miller Run Bridge No. 10, known as the Glass Bridge, located in Cecil Township, and abutting
on Township Road No. 662,
Motion carried,

was adjourned.
