PETTIT, J❑HN N, ❑'NEIL, COMMISSIONERS FJ 0 u on occupational value of $100,00 and a house and 10 acres of surface adjacent to Reed-Miller- i f Polen, assessed in Buffalo Township at $550,00, making a total assessment of 650.00, said tax I! being a duplicate of that paid by the First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Greene County, Waynesburg, Pa., which holds the mortgage and therefore assumes responsibility for the taxes on this property. I Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the request of the Rainbow Girls of Washington, Pa. for permission to use the Court House lawn, between the Court House and the Jail, to hold an Ice Cream Social on June 4. 1947, between the hours -of 7:00 and 9tOO p.m., be granted. Motion carried. ` Motion duly made and seconded that Daylight Saving Time be adopted for the operation i of the Court House, commencing Sunday, April 27-, 1947, at 2 a.m. Motion carried. Mr. Pettit and Mr. Lowstuter. Minute No. 243 read and approved. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel Tax Sale of January 22, 1940, of property assessed to Arthur Jordan in Centerville Borough l and described as "12 acres of surface adj. Charles Watkins; also, to cancel Tax Sale of April 7, 1947, of property assessed to Charles Watkins in Centerville Borough and described as "l lot"; the assessor for said district having certified that these -two assessments are a duplication with the property described as nl2 acres of surface", previously assessed to Charles Watkins, j but since 1943 assessed to the preeent owners, Dewey and Lucy Gillis. The Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes is hereby directed to correct the assessment records accordingly. Motion carried.
