NO. 257 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., June 27, 1947 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Mr. Cummins, Mr. Pettit and Mr. Lowstuter. Minute No. 256 read and approved: Lotion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel Tax Sale of April 26, 1943, for 1932 and 1933 School Tax assessed in Fallowfield Township against property of W. M. Rodgers Est., described as "250 acres surface, House and barn, 2 ,acres coal adj. John H. Redd., inasmuch as liens covering these taxes were satisfied of record on April 19, 1943, and property should not have been sold. Motion carried. ]Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorized to transfer the sum of $4,000.00 from Account No. 1899, Unappropriated Balance, to Account No. 204--m, County Jail Maintenance. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the following Resolution be adopted: BE IT RESOLVED, by the County Commissioners of Washington County, that the plans submitted by the Pennsylvania Department of Highways for the changing of State Highway Route 181, Section S-1, in East Washington Borough and South Strabane Township, between Stations 62�17 and 194. 65, have been examined and the County Commissioners agree that Washington County will not assume any property damage resulting from the construction of this highway as contemplated by these plans, or any damages arising out of any changes or alterations of drainage resulting from the construction or maintenance of this highway, or any damages resulting to any property or holdings of any Public Utility Company; nor will the County assume any damages resulting.to any coal or other minerals in and underlying the property affected by this improvement.
