A joint meeting of the Greene County Commissioners and Washington County Commissioners war
held at the jointly owned County Bridge over Ten Mile Creek near the village of Besco, those presen*
being Commissioners Cummings, Carter and Thite and Maintenance Supt. Hayden from Greene County,
and Commissioners Cummins, Pettit and Lowstuter and Crumrine of the Engineering Department from,
Washington County.
Meeting called to consider plans for the renewal of the bituminous wearing surface and for
the cleaning and painting of the above bridge, and also for the placing of a new roof on each of the
two wood -covered bridges over Ten Mile Creek, which bridges are jointly owned by the two counties.
After examination of the Besco Bridge, motion duly made and seconded that the Washington
County Engineering Department be authorised to prepare advertisements, proposals and specifications
for the furnishing and placing of a bituminous wearing surface on the floor, and for cleaning and
painting the steel superstructure of the above bridge; and that the advertisement be run concurrent-
ly in the Waynesburg and Washington papers, and that bids be received by the Commissioners of both
counties, which bids shall be opened at a meeting of the Board of Commissioners at their respective
offices in the Court House at Washington and Waynesburg, Pa,,

After further discussion, it was mutually agreed that inspection of the above work should
be furnished by the Greene County Commissioners.
Placing of new roofing on the two jointly owned covered bridges was then considered,

k and motion duly made and seconded that the Greene County Maintenance Department shall furnish and
place a new roof on the Hawkins Bridge, Ten Mile Creek , and that the Washington County Maintenance
Department shall furnish and place a new roof on the Davis Bridge, Ten Mile Creek #11.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the joint boards at this time, the meeting
was adjourned.
