Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Mr. Cummins.*
Mr. Pettit and dr. Lowstuter.
Deputy Controller Dentel called into the meeting for the purpose of -opening bids received
in accordance with advertisement of the County Controller for furnishing and printing supplies for
use of the Tax Assessment Department, furnishing and delivering supplies required for use'of
election officers at the Primary Election, and printing and delivering ballots for the conduct of
the Primary Election to be held Tuesday, September 9, 1947,
In accordance there -with, the following bid for Tax Assessment supplies, being the only
one received, was opened and reads

In accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller, inviting proposals for
the furnishing and delivering to the office of the County Commissioners -supplies to include tally
sheets, return sheets, envelopes, numbered lists of voters, voterts certificates, Election Officerstl
Manuals, etc., required for use of the election officers at the Primary Election to be held
September 9, 1947, having examined the attached specifications and understanding the same, I (or We)l
propose to furnish these supplies in accordance therewith, for the sum of

A certified check in the amount of $100.00 is enclosed herewith.
Also in accordance therewith, the following bid for printing and delivering ballots,
being the only one received, was opened and read:

For printing, binding and delivering any rerun of a ballot of any election
district because of error on the part of any county, employee:
Minimum charge per district for re>wrun of 10.0 ballots -or less..........................9 7.50
Charge per 100 rerun ballots for same district in addition to minimum charge.......... 1.25
A certified check in the amount of $500.00 is enclosed herewith.
Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the bid of Monongahela Publishing
Company for Tax Assessment Supplies as set forth above be approved and accepted.
Motion carried.

Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that,the bid of William G. Johnston
Company for election supplies be accepted and approved.
Motion carried.

Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the joint bid of Monongahela.
(Publishing Company and Ward Printing Company for printing and delivering ballots be approved
jand accepted.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the proposal of T. M. Bedillion,
R. D. #4, Washington, Pa:, for delivering ballot boxes and election supplies -to the various
!Judges of Election for the sum of $299,50 be approved and accepted.
Motion carried.

There being no further business to come before the meeting at this time, it Ras
jadjourned.

Minutes Nos. 261 and 262 read and approved.
Motion duly made and seconded that the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes
be authorised to prepare voucher for refund of the sum of $10.61 in favor of Carl W. Hartley, et
al., 363 North Street, McDonald, Pa., representing duplicate payment of 1943 County Tax on
property described as "Howe & part lot 18, Sauters P1 Sec C, East side of North Street,
Robinson Twp.ff, original payment having been made on August 31, 1943, and duplicate, paymment on
June 2, 1947: as per receipts on file.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that, in accordance with request of Lyle A. Carter,
