Pa., upon his bid of $2137.00, it being the lowest and best bid received, with the requirement that

he furnish an experience and financial statement.

1 Motion carried, with the County Controller of Washington County and the�County Commissioners
of Greene County being instructed to return the certified checks of the unsuccessful bidders.

There being no further business to come before the joint meeting, it was adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Mr. Cumui.ns,
Mr. Pettit and Mr. Lowstuter.
Minutes Nos. 264 and 265 read and approved.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel Tax Sale
of March 24, 1942, covering property assessed for 1936 School and Road Taxes in Fallowfield Township
in the name of Teresimma Gair and described as "House and Lot, Warner Plan", inasmuch as said taxes
were paid on June 30, 1936, to Louie B. Stroud, Tax Collector, and the liens were entered in error.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that James J. Reardon be dismissed from
his position as Director of Veterans Affairs, effective august 159 1947.
Motion carried, with Mr. Pettit voting "No".
Motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that Paul C. McClement be employed
as Director of Veterans Affairs for the year 1947, effective August 4, 1947s, and covering the periodl
from that date to the first Monday in January, 1948.
Motion carried, with Mr. Pettit voting *No".
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting was I
adjourned.
