Board of County Commissioners in regular session., those present being Mr. Cummins,
Mr. Pettit and Mr. Lowstuter.
Minute No. 283 read and approved.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for
bids for the construction of the following County bridges, in accordance with specifications:
Huffman Bridge, Pigeon Creek No. 21—A, and Farrar Bridge, Raccoon Creek No. 29.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes
be authorized to prepare voucher for refund of the sum of $12.77 in favor of Paul Koren, Sr..,
c/o E. C. Mickle., Assistant Cashier, First National. Bank., Canonsburg, Pa., representing duplicate
payment of 1942 County Tau on a frame house and Lots 134 and 135, C & J Plan, in the Third Ward
of Canonsburg, assessed at $1.100.00. Said tax was paid on October 24, 1942s Tax Receipt No. 13406
and same tax was liened and paid on September 16s 1947s Receipt No. 11836., in the amount of
12.77.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes
be authorized to prepare voucher for refund of the sum of 11.33 in favor of Frank and Josephine
Pileggi, 421 Second St., Monongahela, Pa., as per Tax Receipt No. 598, dated July 22, 1946., and
No. 599, dated August 1., 1947s representing duplicate payment of 1946 and 1947 County Taxes on
is lot at 420 Parkinson Avenue, in the Second 'yard of Monongahela., assessed at $860.00. This

Ilot was carried as a separate assessment., but is the rear of Lot No. 94, at 420 Second Street,
which shovers an assessment of $1720.00.
! Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the signing of contract., dated
November 3, 1947, between Otis Elevator Company and Washington County for the maintenance of
elevator in the Court House for the sum of $41.00 per month.
Lotion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lovrstuter., seconded by Mr. Cummins, that Steve Obertach be employed as
a Clerk in the office of the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes, effective November 6.
1947s and covering the period from that date to the first Monday in January., 1948.
Motion carried., with Mr. Pettit not voting.
