Board of County Commissioners in regular,session, those present being Mr. Cummins,
Mr. Pettit and Mr. Lowstuter.
Minute No. 250 read and approved.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorised to advertise for
bids on furnishing coal for heating the Court House and Jail for the 1947-1948 season.
Motion carried.
There being no farther business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting was
:adjourned.

Minute No. 251 read and approved.
Motion duly made and seconded that the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes
be authorized to prepare voucher for refund of the sum of $1.35 in favor of John. P. and Edna A.
Alley, representing portion of 1946 County Tax paid in duplicate for the said year because of a
iduplicate assessment of an additional lot included with the assessment of the house and garage,
� in South Strabane Township. One lot was purchased with the house and garage and the additional
lot was purchased later, making a total of two lots. However, John P. and Edna S. Alley were
i assessed with and'paid the tax on three lots, and a refund based on a lot valuation of $200.00
lis in order.
Motion carried.
Motion duly Made and seconded that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for
bids for the furnishing and delivery of approximately twenty thousand (20,000) board feet of
pressure treated lumber, S-4-S, to be used on various bridges in Washington County.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that Charles Maze, Assistant Engineer,
be removed from the County Payroll, effective at the close of business June 15, 1947.
j Motion carried, with Mr. Pettit voting "No".

Motion by Mr. Loxstuter, seconded by Mr. Cummins., that Victor Peternel be employed as
Voucher Clerk for the year 1947, effective June 16, 1947, and covering the period from that date to
the first Monday of January, 1948.
Lotion carried, -with Mr. Pettit voting "No".
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting was
adjourned.

Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel Tax Sale
of April 2, 1945, for the non-payment of 1939 School and Borough Taxes assessed against Rate Norman
on property described as nl vacant lot 21, Randolph Plan", in the Borough of Bentleyville, inasmuch
as this assessment was a duplication with that of Tony. Budest, the _rightful_ owner of the property i
at that time, and which property is now owned by John _and Thelma E. Kandrato icz.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting vas
adjourned.
