OINEIL, COMMISSIONERS MONON GAHELA PUBLISHING CO. NO. 276 Office of the County Commissioners Washington., Pa., September 22., 1947 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Mr. Cummins, Mir. Pettit and Mr. Lowstuter. Minute No. 275 read and approved. Motion by Mr. Loestuter, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that Adah Griffiths Donnan be employed as a Secretary in the office of the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes, replacing Juanita Sproat Bailey, resigned, effective September 22, 1947, and covering the period from that date to the first Monday in January, 1948. Motion carried, with Mr. Pettit not voting. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for bids for the printing and delivering to the office of the County Commissioners of the necessary ballots and election supplies required for the conduct of the Municipal Election to be held Tuesday, November 4, 1947. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting was adjourned. Minute No. 276 read and approved. Motion duly made and seconded that the Board for the ,assessment and Revision of Taxes be authorized to prepare voucher for refund of the sum of $1.97 in favor of D. V. Heck, Gnodenbutten, Ohio, as per tact receipts on file, representing payment of 1944-1945-1946 County Taxes on Lot 23, Harry E. Holman Plan, Carroll Township, assessed in the name of D. V. Heck, for $100.00, which assessment is a duplication with the Peoples Natural Gas Company. Motion carried, Motion duly made and seconded that the sum of $200.00 be paid to Company "HH", llOth Infantry, Pennsylvania National Guard, certification of Inspection having been presented to the Board, and it being the amount appropriated for use of said organization in the 1947 County Budget. Motion duly made and seconded that the Solicitor be authorized to prepare an agreement between Washington County and Anthony Cindrich, of Cross Creek Township, for the sale of reddog from property of Washington County, formerly owned by Duquesne Mining Company, situate in Independence Township, for the sum of 100 per ton; this agreement to be subject to cancellation by either party upon one monthis notice, or by the County immediately upon sale of the Duquesne Mine property Motion carried.
