Minutes Nos. 280 and 281 read and approved. f. Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the signing of a eDeed of Right of Way", between Washington County and Carroll Township, granting to said Carroll Township a right of way to construct a public road over and through certain land situate in Carroll Township, I purchased by the Commissioners of Washington County at Tax Sale of April, 1940, as the property I of the Mary A. Beasell Estate. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the polling place in the First District of the Third Ward of Washington be changed from "Frank S. Alley Garage, 19 Highland Avenueff to "Room formerly q occupied by Mock Driving School, 12 E. Walnut St.", such action being taken by the Board under the provisions of the Election Code of 1937 for emergency changes in polling places within ten days of election. Motion carried. r There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting was i adjourned. Motion duly made and seconded that Harriet Spatharos, Secretary to the Director of I - - Veterans Affairs, be granted an indefinite leave of absence, without pay, effective at the close of business October 31, 1947. i Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that Irene Wysocki be employed as Secretary to the Director of Veterans Affairs, effective November 10, 1947. j Motion carried.
