Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Mr. Cummins and
Mr. Pettit, Mr. 0*Neil being absent from the County.
{ Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Yr. Cummins, that approval be given to the offer of
Janes -Tyne Motor Company, Pittsburgh, Pa., to furnish two Hudson Six Two Door Sedans, for use
( of the District Attorney*s Office, in accordance with War Production Board Priorities, at the
following prices:

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, specially called, those present
being Mr. Cummins, Mr. Pettit and Mr. O'Neil.
Motion duly made and seconded that the folloving_Resolution be adopted:
AREAS, there was sold to Washington County for the non-payment of taxes, in
East Finley and West Finley Townships, certain tracts of coal formerly owned by the
Ten Mile Coal Company and the Pittsburgh & New York Coal Company; and
MEEREAS, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has State Tax Liens against the said
companies, which are now out of existence, but which liens prevent a sale by the
County Commissioners of said tracts of coal; and
W[MRUS, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has indicated a willingness to
eomprcmise the said State taxes in the sum of 500.00 against the Ten Mile Coal Company
and of 200.00 against the Pittsburgh & New York Coal Company; and
WBERM, a sale of said tracts of coal by the County Commissioners is now
pending and a compromise of said liens in the amounts set forth would be to the best
interests of the County and the taxpayers thereof;
