Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel Tax Sale of June 25, 1918, to Washington County, of property assessed in East Bethlehem Township for 1916 County, School and Road Taxes, described as "Lots 1, 2 and 3 Piersol Plan, owned by Guiseppe or r Joseph Cerchiai; also, that he be authorized to cancel Tax Sale of October 1, 1918, to T. J. Underwood, of property assessed for 1916 County and 'Road Taxes in East Bethlehem Township, described as "3 lots in the Piersol Plan", owned by Joseph Cerohiai. It appears that said sales r were an error resulting from a duplication in assessment. Motion carried. j Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel Tax Sale ; of Jane 250 1918, to T. J. Underwood, of property assessed for 1916 County and Road Taxes in East i Bethlehem Township, described as "Lot and frame house in the Fiersol Plan", owned by Roceo Moschettaj, s by reason of the fact that said sale was an error resulting from a duplication in assessment. i Motion carried. f� Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the renewal of the lease ! between Washington County Fire Insurance Company and County Commissioners of Washington County, for office rooms on second floor Washington County Rre Insurannce Building, known as No. 4, 5, 6 & 7, No. 55 South Main Street, Washington, Peiana., occupied by Agricultural Conservation Association, at the yearly rent or sum of $720,00, in payments of $60.00 each, payable on the first ! � I day of each month in advance. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to abate penalty I and interest on 1939 County Tax assessed against David Lennox, in the Eighth Ward of the City of i I Washington, on property described as "Hse & Lot 640 E ing_ St. Block F" and "Hoe & Lot 644 Ewing St.. Block P", inasmuch as consideration of the financial condition of said DavidLennox warrants such action. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the budget for the General Hind of the County of iWashington for the fiscal year 1945 be finally adopted as advertised by the County Commissioners, I� the said budget having been available for public inspection in the Office of the Chief Clerk of the County Commissioners from March 1, 1945 to March 21, 1945, in accordance with the provisions of the Act of Assembly of July 18, 1955, and that the rate of taxation upon the valuation of properties of the County of Washington, in order to raise sufficient revenue to meet required 1 expenditures for the fiscal year 1945, be fixed at five and one-half (5J') mills, which makes the payment of taxes in the amount of fifty-five (55�) cents upon each 100*00 of assessed valuation of real estate and occupation,, lbtion carried.
