As there was not a quorum present, bids could not be opened, and action thereon was de - (erred until a later date. There being no further business to come before the joint meeting, it was adjourned. Motion duly made and seconded that the budget for the General Hind of the County of iWashington for the fiscal year 1945 be finally adopted as advertised by the County Commissioners, I� the said budget having been available for public inspection in the Office of the Chief Clerk of the County Commissioners from March 1, 1945 to March 21, 1945, in accordance with the provisions of the Act of Assembly of July 18, 1955, and that the rate of taxation upon the valuation of properties of the County of Washington, in order to raise sufficient revenue to meet required 1 expenditures for the fiscal year 1945, be fixed at five and one-half (5J') mills, which makes the payment of taxes in the amount of fifty-five (55�) cents upon each 100*00 of assessed valuation of real estate and occupation,, lbtion carried.
