BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County, of Washington, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the County, the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a temporary loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which are to be levied and oolleoted during the year 1945, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to repay said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue a note therefor, payable August 6, 1945, with interest from date of said note at the rate of one (1) per cent. per annum, free of all taxes levied by the Commonwealth of - Pennsylvania, which said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated and issued as follows THE WASHINGTON UNION TRUST COMPANY, Washington, Pa.....$50,000.00 Motion duly made and seconded that the rate of pay for the constable on duty at the various polling places in the County, for each Primary and each Election, shall be $7*50 in accordance with the Act of June 3, 1937* P. L. 1333, See. 1207, as amended in 1945* Motion carried. Jo Kline Prop. - Main St.", be increased to $16.00 for each Primary and each Elections Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the polling places in the following precincts be changed to the locations set forth and the rentals fixed at the prices noted, the former polling places being no longer available or suitable, such action being taken by the Board under the provisions of the Election Code of 1937 for emergency changes in polling places within ten days of election.- No Strabane - 3rd So No P. Church, concurring in action of the School District of Charleroi under date of May 28, 1945, and action of the Borough Council under date of June 5, 1945. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Solicitor be instructed to insert the necessary advertisements in the local newspapers and legal journal, in accordance with the recent tax abatement act. Mrs. Anne Paling, West Brownsville, Pa. Mrs. Lucy AcIman, Monongahela, Pa. Mr. M. C. Wilson, Canonsburg, Pa. Mrs. Rachel Pastorius, Frederiektown, Pa. Mrs. Theresa Gergitch, R. D. j2, Marianna, Pa. Mrs. Helen Falcon, R-ederioktown, Pa. Mrs. Nell Nicksick, Sloven, Pa. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel Tax Sale of April 2* 1945, to Mildred Spanko,, covering property assessed to J. Z. Spanco in East Bethlehem Towaship, said assessment being a duplication, in error, with the property former assessed to Marshall and Bush and sold to Washington County in 1940, and subsequently sold to Joseph Yablonski 1 on April 5, 1945.
