OINEIL, COMMISSIONERS MONONGAHELA PUBLISHINS CO NO. 107 - Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., July 13, 1945 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Mr. Cummins, Mr* Pettit and Mr. O'Neil, Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel tax sales as follows: Property described as "Store & Lot North-South Main St,", situate in the Borough of Burgettstoun, assessed in the name of ALBERT TWP sold to the County April 3, 1944, for the non-payment of 1933 School and Borough Tax. Taxes in question paid to I. C. Bloom, Solicitor for said districts, on March 27, 1944, prior,to sale, and therefore property should not have been sold. Property described as "2 R House & Lot #50 Hoon Plan", situate in Carroll Township, sold as the property of Jesse Do Fields, now ovmed by Walter Cox* Taxes paid to Co. Treasurer, partial satisfaction entered on records,, but the property was inadvertently included in sale list. Property described as "House & Lot 32 Brookside Avenue" or after numbers changed as "House & Lot 65 Brookside Avenue", assessed in the name of TEBERIO TOCUR, sold to the County for non-payment of 1931 County Tax, This was a duplicate assessment of property oymed by Henry Cincinatti who holds receipts covering tax on property in question, Property described as "E. So Olive St. -#55-56 V. lots", situate in the Borough of Burgettstown, assessed in the name of ETHEL CALE= or CALF. tie assessment was in error and the sale of March 24, 1942, void inasmuch as said property was sold by the County on June 12, 1939, to MW CALEM. Property described as "frame house & lot 216, Williams St*" in the First Ward of the City of Monongahela, assessed in the name of JOHN C. ZEH. Error in placing same in sale, inasmuch as tax was paid on March 27, 1944, which was prior to the date of sale* Motion carried. Motion by Mr* Pettit, seconded by Mr. OtNeil, that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for bids on Tax Assessment Supplies forthe year 1946 as set forth below, specification and bid forms to be obtained in the office of the Chief.,Clerk: 14,,000 Transcript Sheets (not dated) 14,000 Assessment Sheets (dated 194 12,000 County Tax Duplicate Sheets 8,000 School Tax Duplicate Sheets 5P000 Road Tax Duplicate Sheets 5,000 Borough Tax Duplicate Sheets 300 Front Sheets for Tax Duplicates 200 Sets Front Pages for Transcript and Assessment Books 5,000 Personal Property Blanks 10,000 Personal Property Window Envelopes Binding of approximately 400 books, which includes Transcript Books, Assessment Books, and Tax Duplicates Motion carried* Motion duly made and seconded that an Agreement be executed between Washington County and Allegheny County Workhouse and Inebriate Asylum for the six months period beginning July 1, 1945, an� terminating six months from that date, whereby the rate of maintenance for each prisoner at that institution is fixed at 90,d,, with the additional allowance of the sum of 01,50 for transportation of each discharged prisoner to the County Seat. Motion carried. MINUTE BOOK 93 BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA ROSS R. CUMMINS, FRANCIS E. PETTIT, JOHN N. OINEIL, COMMISSIONERS .0NONGAHELA PUBLISHING CO. Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Ot'Neil, that the contract for printing Nine Thousand (9,000) copies of Controller's Report for the year 1944 be awarded to the Notes Publishing Company, Canonsburg, Pao, in accordance with their bid of March 27, 1945. Motion carried, with Deputy Controller Dentel present when this action was taken, and instructed to return the certified cheek of the unsuccessful bidder* There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting was adjourned. TBE FOREGOING MMTE READ AND APPROVW: July 16, 1945 ATTEST: Alf NO. 108 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., July 14, 1945 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, specially called, those present being Mr. Cummins, Mro Pettit, and Mr. OtNeil. Motion duly made and seconded that the letter of Commissioner O'Neil, withdrawing his resignation which was presented to the Board on July 2, 1945, be- accepted and turned over to the Solicitor for legal interpretation and for further action at the regular meeting on Monday, July 16, 1945, Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting was adjourned.
