Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Mr. Cummins,
Mr. Pettit and Mr. Lowstuter.
Minutes Nos. 111 and 112 read and approved.
Motion duly made and seconded that the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Takes
be authorized to prepare voucher for refund of county, taxes for the years 1942-43-44 to James P.
Houston, 125 North Jefferson Avenue, Canonsburg, Pa., for the reason that property described as
"2 sty. tile Bldg. - 125 N. Jefferson Avenue, 700", in the Second Ward of the Borough of
Canonsburg, is assessed in duplicate, that is, said building is assessed to James P. Houston
and also in the name of W. J. Gowern Est. and R. Wed Govern Est. as "Building - 119-127 North
Jefferson Avenue", for the years in question, the said W. J. and R. Fred Govern Estates being
the rightful ovmers of said building.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the following Resolution be adopted:
WHEREAS, certain liens have been filed in the office of the County
Treasurer for various School, Township and County taxes against the
property of Pittsburgh Terminal Coal Corporation, now in the hands of
i William G. Heiner, Trustee for the District Court of the United States
at No. 20716 in Bankruptcy; and
YIHEREAS, the said Court, through the Honorable R. M. Gibson, I?. J.,,
on June 27, 1945, did declare said liens to be null and void and in direct
violation of the orders of said Court and in direct interference with the
exclusive jurisdiction of said Court over the assets and property of the
said Corporation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that all of said liens heretofore
found for School, Township and County taxes against the property of
Pittsburgh Terminal Coal Corporation be and the same are hereby declared
null and void and of no effect, and the same are hereby expunged and
stricken from the record, including all returns, liens, certifications
and all acts or proceedings done or taken.in connection Vith the filing,
liening, collection or endorsement thereof.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the execution of a Deed of
Release and Quitclaim to the Commonwealth and any agency or political subdivision thereof,
covering property owed by Washington County, formerly of Linda Bonardi, abutting on a section
i of road in Robinson Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, designated on the records of the
Department of Highways as L. R. 62184, Section 8-1, the consideration for said Release being the
benefit resulting from the improvements of the said road.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that Hazel McChesney, of North Charleroi, be appointed
Special Field Registrar, effective August 1, 1945; and that Stanley Kozon, of Monongahela, be
appointed Special Meld Registrar, effective August 3, 1945; both to serve in such capacity
at the respective places and on the dates set forth in a schedule for special registrations
approved by the Registration Commission.

Motion carried, with the Chief Clerk in the Registration Office directed to make
notation of this action on the minutes of the Registration Commission.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
was adjourned. I

Minute No. 115 read and approved.
Motion duly made and seconded that the offer of J. A. Irwin of Washington, Pa., in the
sum of $500*00 for 1 Galion Trench Roller be accepted, in accordance with continuance of sale
authorized by Minute No. 378, dated November 26, 1943, and that a Bill of Sale for the same be
1 properly executed.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
was adjourned.
