Washington, Pa., September 12, 1945
Joint meeting of the Boards of Commissioners of Washington and Westmoreland Counties,
held at the Court House, Washington, Pa., at 11:00 a.m., WIT, September 12, 1945, those present
being Commissioners Cummins, Pettit and bowstuter, Washington County, and Commissioners Cochran,
Noel and White, Westmoreland County.
County Controller Stuart, Washington County, and County Controller Keck, Westmoreland
County, called into the meeting for the purpose of awarding contract for the removal of the
bituminous wearing surface and the placing of a new one -course bituminous wearing surface on
the timber deck and on the brick approach spans of the Donora-Webster Bridge over the Mononga-
hela River.
Motion duly made and seconded that the bid of Burrell Construction & Supply Comps
as submitted, be approved and accepted, and that a contract be entered into in accordance
therewith; and that each County, for itself, shall pay fifty (50) per cent of the amount of
said bid, in accordance with the terms thereof.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, it was adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Mr. Cummins and
Mr. Pettit.
Minutes Nos. 118, 119 and 120 read and approved.
Deputy Controller Dentel called into the meeting for the purpose of opening bids for
the furnishing and delivery of approximately one hundred and twenty (120) cubic yards of Transit
Mixed Concrete to the Wade Avenue Bridge, Chartiers Creek No. 61, in the City of Washington.
In accordance with advertisement of the County Controller, the following bid, being
the only one received, was opened and read:
ASHINGTON ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION CO.
In accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller, inviting proposals for the furn-
ishing and delivery of -approximately one hundred and twenty (120) cubic yards of Transit Mixed
Concrete to the Fade Avenue Bridge, Chartiers Creek No. 61, in the City of Washington, having
examined the attached specifications and understanding the same, We propose to furnish and
deliver said material in accordance therewith, at the following price:

Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Cmmdns, that contract for furnishing said concrete 4e
awarded to Washington Engineering & Construction Co. upon their bid as set forth above.
Motion carried, with Deputy Controller Dental present when this action was taken.
Motion duly made and seconded that Gino Amanati, honorably discharged from the armed
forces of the United States, be re—employed as Assistant Chief Registrar and Inspector of
Registrations in the Registration Office, effective September 17, 1945, and covering the period
from that date to the first Monday in January, 1946, with the proviso that he may be dismissed
I upon thirty days' notice.

Motion carried, with notation of this appointment to be made on the minutes of the
'i Registration Commission.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to accept payment
of the 1942, 1943 and 1944
County
Taxes assessed in the name of John Razvoza, R.
D.

Washington,
Pa., covering a garage and
Lot No.
2 in the Swart Plan, North Pranklin Township,
on
an
amended
valuation of $100.00 instead of $200*00, inasmuch as the garage, formerly assessed at $100.00,
was removed by the owner in 1939 but no change was made on the assessment records to cover the
removal of the garage.
Motion carried,
Motion duly made and seconded that the Board of County Commissioners, sitting as and for
the WeLshington County Board of Elections, recommend to the Court of Quarter Sessions in connection
with the petition for the division of an election district in North Bethlehem Township, filed at
No. 144 November Term, 1944, Q. S., that an Amended -Report showing the investigation and
recommendations of the Board be filed with the Court, and that &ancis Be Pettit-, as Secretary of
the Board, be authorized to execute the same as and for the said Board*
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting was
adjourned*
