PETTIT, JOHN N:0'NEIL, CQMMISSTONERS I 1 NO. 122 office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., September 24, 1945 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Mr. Cummins, Mr. Pettit and Mr. Lowstuter. Minute No. 121 read and approved. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to abate penalty and interest on 1928 County Tax assessed against property of J. P. Riddle, now owned by McClelland Boles Estate, in Jefferson Township, inasmuch as all taxes have been paid with the exception of this one. Motion carried. i jMotion duly made and seconded that the assessment in the name of 1homas Watson, Robinson Township, for the years 1944 and 1945, carried incorrectly as 75 acres of coal at 6750.00 for the said years, be corrected inasmuch as Engineer's Affidavit filed shows that there existed only 50,82 acres of coal at the time of the purchase by said Thomas Watson from Sunnyhill Coal Company; also, that the County Treasurer's Tax Returns Dockets for the years 1944 and 1945 be corrected accordingly and corrected delinquent tax statements sent to Mr* Watson, ► so that the delinquent taxes may be paid on the proper assessment for the years in question. Motion carried. Lotion duly made and seconded that the Board of Assessment and Revision of Taxes be authorized to prepare voucher for refund of 1942, 1945 and 1944 County Taxes paid by S. J. and Mary Peka on an assessment of $100.00 covering Lot No. 171 in the ThirGround Plan, Canton Township, inasmuch as this lot was also assessed for said years to Julius Gurney, the rightful owner. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the Board of Assessment and Revision of Taxes be authorized to prepare voucher for refund of County Taxes in the amount of 65¢ for the year 1945 and 67,d for the year 1944, to Jessie W. Munce, 801West Main Street, Third Ward, Monongahela, Pa., because of duplicate payment of said county taxes, which represent an occupation tax for each of the said years also assessed to the said Jessie W. Dunce with property owned jointly by her and Mary J. 19eddell. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel Tax �( Sale dated April 2, 1945, of a lot on Wayne Street, in the Borough of Claysville, assessed in I the name of John A. Rogers, for delinquent county taxes for the year 1939, said assessment being a duplication with that of Samuel R. Mellon, Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel Tax i Sale made to the County in 1940 for the non-payment of 1930 taxes, assessed in the name of the MINUTE BOOK BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA ROSS R. CUMMINS, FRANCIS E. PETTIT, JOHN N. O'NEIL, COMMISSIGNERS Dawson Estate, covering,Lots Nos. 66, 67 and 68 in the Dawson Flan, F.11owfield Township, inasmuch as the said lots were then the property of John: and Eva. Kotyk, who had paid their 1950 taxes and who now have all the receipts -therefor, said sale having been an error as a result of a duplicate assessment; and that the sale by Washington County to Elizabeth S. Keating, inter alia, of the same lots be and the same is hereby cancelled. Motion carried. Motion, duly made and seconded that the proposal of Champion Coal Company for furnishing and delivering the following grades of coal at the prices and on the terms set forth be accepted, as follows: CHAMPION Block 4" plus coal Lump 2" plus coal Egg 4"x2" coal Stoker 1-1/811x3/8" coal Stove 2"xif8" coal Nut -slack - 2" minus Slack - 1%1j8n minus 5,35 per net ton 2,000j*, delivered in bin. 4.90 5.05 4.70 3.85 TEES: Cash on the 15th of each month for all fuel purchased during preceding calendar month. This agreement and the price, or prices, herein established will remain in force until May 31st, 1946. Said price, or prices, are based on the present wages paid by the seller at the manes or yards from which the fuel is shipped, and the present cost of transporting coal into bins. Should the said wages or the cost of trans- portation be increased or decreased then the price, or prices, named in this contract shall be increased or decreased during the period within which the changed wages are in effect. In no event shall the price, or prices, herein be decreased below the minamurn prices fixed under governmental authority. In the event that the maximum prices applicable at the time of entrance into the within agreement shall hereafter be increased, the contract price, or prices stated herein shall be increased by an equivalent amount. In the event of State or Federal Legislation during the term of this contract increasing the cost or expense to the seller for production, sale, or delivery of said fuel, then the price, or prices, named under this quotation shall be increased to an amount sufficient to cover such additional expense.
