Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Mr. Cummins,

Minutes Nos. 153 and 134 read and approved.
Motion by Mr, Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that James M. Lydia, of Washington,
Pa., be reappointed as a member of the Washington County Housing Authority for a term of five
years, effective January % 1946.

Motion carried, with the Chief Clerk instructed to certify this action of the Board
to the ftderal Publio Housing Authority, New York City, to the State Board of Housing, Harrisburg,
Pa., and to the Washington County Housing Authority, Washington, Pa., as well as to notify
Mr. Iydic, by letter, of his reappointment to the said Washington County Fusing authority.
Motion duly made and seconded that the Washington County Council of Civilian Defense,
created under the Act of April 17, 1942, P. L. 42, be and the same is hereby dissolved and

terminated as of the close of business December 31st, 1945.
Motion carried.

Motion duly made and seconded that the following Resolutions be adopted:
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Commissioners of Washington County,
that the plans submitted by the Pennsylvania Department of Highways
for the changing of State Highway Route 62119, Bridge No. 5, in
Buffalo and Hopewell Townships, between stations 165/00 and 176/89,
have been examined and the County Commissioners hereby agree that
Washington County will not assume liability for any property damages
resulting from the construction of the above highway as contemplated
by these plans, or any damages arising out of any changes or alteration
of drainage resulting from the construction or maintenance of the high-
way, or any damages resulting to any property or holdings of any
Public Utility Company; nor will the County assume any damages resulting
to any coal or other minerals in and underlying the property affected by
this improvement.
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Commissioners of Washington County,
that the plans submitted by the Pennsylvania Department of Highways
for the changing of State Highway Route 62104, Bridge No. 5, in
Independence and Hopewell Townships, between stations 140/50 and 16g00,
have been examined and the County Commissioners hereby agree that
Washington County will not assume liability for any property damages
resulting from the construction of the above highway as contemplated
by these plans, or any damages arising out of any changes or alteration
of drainage resulting from the construction or maintenance of the
Highway, or awl damages resulting to any property or holdings of any
Public Utility Company; nor will the County assume any damages resulting
to any coal or other minerals in and underlying the property affected
by this improvement.
Motion carried.
