NO. 91 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., April 6, 1945 V' Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Mr. Cummins, GMr. Pettit and Mr. OtNeil. d Minutes Nos. 88, 89 and 90 read and approved. Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the payment of the sum of 200.00 i in favor of David Metz, in accordance with the IMewers Award for the payment of damages against propetty ;',situate in the Borough of Midway and Smith Township, filed at No. 3 May Term, 1944, Roads. Motion carried. 6 Motion duly made and seconded that, in answer to petition filed at No. 143 Nov. Term, 1944, i Q. S., the County Board of Elections be directed to file a report to the Court, recommending divisionl dof the Second Precinct of Cross Creek Township so as to create a new precinct to be known as -the i Fourth Precinct. Motion carried. Tliere being no farther business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting was Nadjourned. Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that Jennie Robertson, of 40 Ellis Avenue, p Washington, Pa., be employed as a Cleaner in the Court House, replacing Geraldine Zimmerman, resigned; 1 psuch employment to be for the year 1945, effective April 16, 1945, and covering the period from °that date until the first Monday of January, 1946, with the proviso that she may be dismissed upon 30 days* notice. )Notion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for bids t afor the repair and restoration of three hundred fifty-six (356) volumes, more or less, of old hand - sewed Record Books now on file in the offices of the Prothonotary and Register of Wills in the Court i House, Washington, Pa., in accordance with specifications to be furnished by the Chief Clerk to the pCounty Comamissioners, such bids to be received by the County Controller until 11 o'clock a.m., EffT, "May 4, 1945, and opened immediately thereafter in the office of the County Commissioners. A certi- u hied check in the sum of $500.00 to accompany each bid, and the right is reserved to reject any or +all bids. Motion carried.
