Upon request, the joint bid of Monongahela Publishing Company and Ward Printing Company,
and the bid of Wm. G. Johnston Company, being the only ones received, were re -read,
Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that the contract for Ballots, in accordance
with specifications, be awarded to Monongahela Publishing CompwW and Ward Printing Company
upon their joint bid as set forth in Minute No. 16, dated February 21, 1944.
Motion carried, with County Controller present at the time this action: was taken.

Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. OtNeil, that the contract for Election Supplies,

in accordance with specifications, be warded to William G. Johnston Company, of Pittsburgh,
Pa., upon their bid of $840,12,
Motion carried, with County Controller present at the time this action was taken.

Pettit and OtNeil.
Minute No. 15 read and approved.
Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the proposed budget for Washington
4 ,
1 County General Fund for the year 1944 be made available for public inspection in the Office of the
Chief Clerk of the County Commissioners until Saturday, March 18, 19", on which date the said
budget will be finally adopted and the rate of taxation fixed for the year 1944, and that the
following public notice be given in the Washington Reporter and Washington Observer:
NOTICE
In compliance with the provisions of the Acts of Assembly
s governing such matters, the proposed budgets for the financial
affairs for the Washington County General Fund and the
Washington County Institution District for -the fiscal year
1944 have been prepared and are available for public in-
speotion in the Office of the Chief Clerk of the County
ICommissioners, Court House, Washington, Pa., said budgets
to be finally adopted,on Saturday, March 18, 1944.
