Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Mr. Cummins,
Mr. Pettit and Mr. O'Neil.
Minutes Nos. 38-a and 39 read and approved.
Motion duly made and seconded that, on recommendation of the County Solicitor, the
q County Treasurer be authorized to cancel Tax Sale of March 24, 1942, in the name of Courtney Coal
Company, for 1935 County Tax on property described as `Equipment adj. Courtney"; and that proper j
knotation of said cancellation be made on the records in the County Treasurerts Office.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the Borough of Stockdale be paid the sum of $5.00
for janitor service and heating and lighting of the Borough Building at the Primary held April 25,
1944, and at each time in the future that the same shall be used for election and registration
u purposes* motion carried.
u Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to abate penalty
ro
and interest on 1937 and 1938 County Tax assessed against the La Marr properties, now owned by
bMrs. J. W. Lane, in the Borough of West Brownsville, concurring with similar action by the West
Brownsville School Board under date of April 24, 1944, and of the Borough of West Brownsville under
;date of September 8, 1943. Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting was
Cadjourned.
