Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for I
bids for furnishing and printing the following:
300 Front Sheets for Tax Duplicates
7,000 Transcript Sheets (not dated)
10,000 Assessment Sheets (dated 1945)
10,000 County Tax Duplicate Sheets
80000 School Tax Duplicate Sheets
6,000 Borough Tax Duplicate Sheets
6,000 Personal Property Blanks
4000 Personal Property Sheets
200 Front Sheets for Transcript and Assessment Books
Binding of approximately 400 Books, -which includes
Transcript Books, Assessment Books and Tax
Duplicates
Such bids are to be received in the office of the County Controller until 11 o'clock a.m., EST,

Friday, July 21, 1944, and opened immediately thereafter in the Office of the County Commissioners. I
A certified check in the sum of 0200.00 must accompany each bid, and the right is reserved to
reject any or all bids. Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for
Jbids for printing and delivering to the Office of the County Commissioners the necessary ballots

for the conduct of the General Election to be held Tuesday, November 7, 1944, in accordance with
specifications available at the office of the Chief Clerk to the County Commissioners. Such bids {
are to be received in the office of the County Controller until 11 o'clock a.m., ENT, Friday,

July 21, 1944, and opened immediately thereafter in the Office of the County Commissioners. A j

certified check in the sum of $500,00 must accompany each bid, and the right is reserved to reject
any or all bids. Motion carried.

Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for

bids for furnishing and delivering to the Office of the County Commissioners supplies to include
tally sheets, return sheets, envelopes, numbered lists of voters, Voter's Guides, voter's
i
certificates (as per sample), etc., required for use of the election officers at the General I
Election to be held November 7, 1944; such supplies to be packed in 185 boxes, designated by
precinct name, for use in boroughs, townships and third class cities as may be found necessary.

duplicate assessment of property owned by Miles G. Thompson. Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
was adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, specially called, those present
being Mr. Cumnni.ns and Mr. Pettit.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorized to advertise
for bids for the furnishing and delivering of approximately 26,648 board feet of Rough Sawed
White Oak Lumber for the repair and maintenance of various bridges in Washington County, in
accordance with specifications. A certified check in the amount of 100.00 is to accompany
each bid, and the right is reserved to reject any or all bids, or to make such an award as will
be to the best interest of Washington County.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
was adjourned.

Minutes Nos, 51, 52 and 53 read and approved.
Motion duly made and seconded that in accordance with the terms of an agreement
filed at No. 197 August Term, 1944, approval be given to the payment of the sum of 400.00 in
favor of If. Lee Johnston, representing damages due him by reason of the reconstruction of the
road and bridge in North Strabane and Chartiers Townships on State Highway Route 62162.
Motion carried.
