OINEIL, COMMISSIONERS MONONGAHELA PUBLIGHtNG 00. NO. 50 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., July 6, 1944. Joint meeting of County Commissioners and County Controller called for the purpose of J opening bids in accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller for the repair and restoration of 176 volumes, more or less, of old hand -sewed Record Books now on file in the I Office of the Recorder of Deeds in the Court House., Washington, Washington County, Pennsylvania, those present being Mr* Cummins, Mr. Pettit, Mr. OtNeil, and County Controller Harvey Stuart. In accordance with aforementioned advertisement, the following bid of Hultman Brothers, Pittsburgh, Pa., being the only one received, was opened: Having examined the attached Specifications for the restoration and repair of records in the Court House of Washington County, Pennsylvania, and understanding the same, I (or We) propose to perform this work in accordance therewith at the price of $59*65 per volume. Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the contract for said repair and restoration of books be awarded to Hultman Brothers at their bid of $59*65 per volume. motion carried. There being no further business to come before the joint meeting, it was adjourned. Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Mr* Cummins, biro Pettit and Mr* O"Neil. Minute No. 49 read and approved. Motion duly made and seconded that an Agreement be executed between Washington County and Allegheny County Workhouse and Inebriate Asylum for the six months period beginning July 1, 1944, and terminating six months from that date, whereby the rate of maintenance for each prisoner at that institution is fixed at 85X, with the additional allowance of the sum of $1.50 for transportation of each discharged prisoner to the County Seat* motion carried.
