Lot �6 Colonial Hts. in name of Clarence Covert, inasmuch as this was a duplicate assessment of property owned by Miles G. Thompson. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting was adjourned. THE FOREGOING MEINUTE READ AND APPROVED: July 21, 1944. Board of County Commissioners in regular session, specially called, those present being Mr. Cumnni.ns and Mr. Pettit. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for bids for the furnishing and delivering of approximately 26,648 board feet of Rough Sawed White Oak Lumber for the repair and maintenance of various bridges in Washington County, in accordance with specifications. A certified check in the amount of 100.00 is to accompany each bid, and the right is reserved to reject any or all bids, or to make such an award as will be to the best interest of Washington County. Motion duly made and seconded that in accordance with the terms of an agreement filed at No. 197 August Term, 1944, approval be given to the payment of the sum of 400.00 in favor of If. Lee Johnston, representing damages due him by reason of the reconstruction of the road and bridge in North Strabane and Chartiers Townships on State Highway Route 62162. Motion carried.
