Office of the County Commissioners
Washington, Pa., January 12, 1944.
The Salary Board of the County of Washington, having to do with the salaries of em-
ployees coming under its jurisdiction, met in the Office of the County Commissioners on
Wednesday, January 12, 1944, at 1:50 P.M., said Board being composed of the following members:
Chairman, County Commissioner Ross R. Cummins; Secretary, County Commissioner Francis E. Pettit;
County Commissioner John N. O'Neil; and County Controller Harvey Stuart.
Chairman Cummins presiding.
First in order of business was the matter of fixing the salary of the Deputy Register
! of Wills. The Salary Board convened with the following members present: County Commissioners
Cummins, Pettit and O'Neil; County Controller Stuart; and Register of Wills Leo L. Considine.

Motion by Mr. Considine, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the salary of Walter Boswell,

j Deputy Register of Wills, be fixed at $225.00 per month for the year 1944, covering the period
from the first Monday in January, 1944, to the first Monday in January, 1945. Motion carried.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned.

Office of the County Commissioners
Washington, Pa., January 12, 1944.
The Salary Board of the County of Washington, having to do with the fixing of salaries
in the Office of the Clerk of Courts, met in the Office of the County Commissioners on Wednesday,
January 12, 1944, at 1:40 P.M., with the following members present: County Commissioners
Cummins, Pettit and O'Neil; County Controller Stuart; and Clerk of Courts F. Leo Wright.
Motion by Mr. Wright, that the salary of Irene B. Burroughs, Deputy Clerk of Courts,
be fixed at $225.00 per month for the year 1944. There being no second to this motion, it was
declared lost.
Motion by Mr. Wright that the salary of Irene B. Burroughs, Deputy Clerk of Courts,
be fixed at $215.00 per month for the year 1944. There being no second to this motion, it was
declared lost, and further action on this matter was deferred until later.
Motion by Mr. Wright, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the salary of Mary Marchezak,
Secretary in the Clerk of Courts' Office, be fixed at $125.00 per month for the year 1944,
