The Salary Board of the County of Washington,
having to do with the matter of fixing

salaries of employees in the Office of the Prothonotary, met in the Office of the County
ICommissioners on Wednesday, January 12, 1944, at
2:30 P.M., with the following members present: f
County Commissioners Cummins, Pettit and O'Neil;

County Controller Stuart; and Prothonotary

Motion by Mr. Crawford, seconded by Mr.
Pettit, that the salaries of employees in the

f Prothonotary's Office be fixed as follows for the
respective positions set forth below, for the year;
1944, covering the period from the first Monday in
1
January, 1944, to the first Monday in January,
1945, except where noted:

Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the Board adjourned to meet at 2:40 P. M.,
to fix salaries in the Office of the Sheriff.

The Salary Board of the County of Washington, having to do with the fixing of salaries
of employees in the Sheriff's Office, met in the Office of the County Commissioners on Wednesday,

January 12, 1944, at 2:40 P.M., with the following members present: County Commissioners Cummins, j
Pettit and O'Neil; County Controller Stuart; and Sheriff C. 0. Williams.
Motion by Mr. Williams, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the salaries of employees in the
Sheriff's Office be continued ascV last year for the respective positions set forth below for the
year 1944, covering the period from the first Monday of January, 1944, to the first Monday of f

subject to change at such time as receipts in the Sheriff's Office will warrant an increase of
$10.00 per month for each employee over a"period of 12 months for the year 1944, with the
exception of the Solicitor. Motion carried.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the Board adjourned to meet tivith the

Superintendent of Schools at 2:50 P.M., to fix the salary of his Secretary.
