The Salary Board of the County of Washington, having to do with the matter of fixing salari�s
of employees coming under the jurisdiction of the County Commissioners, met in the Office of the

County Commissioners on Friday, February 4, 1944, with the following members present: County
Commissioners Cummins and Pettit, and Controller Harvey Stuart. I
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the salary of Steve Nemeth, employed
as elevator operator in the Court House, be fixed at the rate of $100,00 per month for the year
1944, effective February 1st, 1944, and covering the period from that date to the first Monday in j
January, 1945, Motion carried. '

There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.

lof the County Commissioners on Thursday, February 24, 1944, with the following members present:

County Commissioners Cummins and Pettit, and Controller Harvey Stuart.
Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the salary of Ruth Bebout, employed
Ias a Cleaner in, the Court House, be changed to 60.00 per month for the year 1944, effective February
ilst, 1944, and covering the period from that date until the first Monday in January, 1944; and that
(the salary of Nellie Manning, employed as a Cleaner in the Court House, be changed to $60.00 per
(month, effective February 16th, 1944, and covering the period from that date until the first Monday

in January, 1944; such changes to be made because of the reduction of the number of working hours
of the above named employees. lotion carried.
Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the salary of John H. (nip, employed
as Clerk in the Office of the Board of Assessment and Revision of Taxes, be fixed at $175.00 per
month for the year 1944, effective February 17, 1944, and covering the period from that date until
the first Monday in January, 1945; that the salary of Charles Maze, employed as Assistant Building
Engineer, be fixed at $150.00 per month for the year 1944, effective February 16, 1944, and covering
the period from that date until the first Monday in January, 1945; and that the salary of Mrs. Rose
Hayes, employed as a Cleaner in the Court House, be fixed at 60.00 per month for the year 1944,
effective February 16, 1944, and covering the period from that date until the first Monday in
January, 1945. Motion carried.
'There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting was
adjourned.
