PETTIT, JOHN N. ❑INEIL, COMMISSIONERS MONIINIIAHOLA PUBLISHING C13, Motion by Mr. Pettit., seconded by It% Cumnins., that all persons employed as extra Court Clerks by the Prothonotary and Clerk of Courts be paid at the rate of $4.50 per day; that persons employed as extra clerical help, having ninety days' experience, be paid at the rate of $4.50 per day, provided that the official holding said office inwhichsuch clerical help is employed, shall first certify to the County Controller that such extra clerical help has had at least ninety days' experience in that office; that all other clerical help be paid at the rate of $4.00 per day; and that substitute cleaners be paid at the rate of $2.50 per day; all of the foregoing rates to be effective for the time actually employed in the respective capacities for the year 1945, covering the period from the first Monday in January., 1945, to the first Monday in January., 1946. Motion carried. 'Motion by Mr. Pettit., seconded by Mr. Cummins., that all persons employed as laborers on the Court House Cleaning Force be paid at the rate of 65 cents per hour for the time actually employed in said capacity for the year 1945., covering the period from the first Monday in January, 1945, to the first Monday in January, 1946. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting was ad ourned. NO. 5 Office of the County Commissioners Washington,, Pa., February 16, 1945 i The Salary Board of the County of Washington., having to do with the fixing of salary of the Deputy in the office of the Register of Wills., met in the office of the County Commission— ers on Friday, February 16, 1945, with the following members present: County Commissioners Cummins., Pettit., and O'Neil; Controller Stuart; and Register of Wills Leo L. Considine. Motion by Mr. Considine., seconded by Mr. Pettit., that the salary of Walter Boswell., Deputy Register of Wills., be adjusted to $235-00 per month for the year 1945, covering the period from the first Monday in January, 1945, to the first Monday in January, 1946. Motion carried. Register of Wills Leo L. Considine excused from the meeting. Next in order of business was the matter of fixing the salary of employees in the Sheriff's Office. Sheriff C. 0. Williams called into the meeting. Motion by 11r. Williams., seconded by Mr. Pettit., that the salaries of employees in the Sheriff's Office be fixed as follows for the respective positions set forth for the year 1945, covering the period from the first Monday in January., 1945, to the first Monday in January., 1946: Adam C. Zelt, Chief Deputy 225-00 per month James J. Kane, Deputy 195.00 " n Louis Furman., Deputy 195,00 Alec Stathas, Deputy 195.00 Amor Halliburton., Secretary 145-00 Russell Stah1man., Solicitor 41.66 subject to an increase of $10.00 per month for each employee., except the Solicitor,, over a period MINUTE BOOK BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA ROSS R. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time., the meeting was adjourned. NO. 6 Office of the County Commissioners Washington., Pa.., 11arch 51945 The Salary Board of the County of Washington., governing the salaries of employees coming under its jurisdiction., met in the Office of the County Commissioners on Monday, March 5, 1945, with the following members present: County Commissioners Cummins and Pettit; Deputy Controller Dentel. First in order of business was the matter of fixing the salary of the Secretary in the Office of the Coroner. Coroner Michael Sweeney called into the meeting, I Motion by Mr. Sweeney., seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the salary of Mary Meiser., Secretary,, be fixed at $150.00 per month for the year 1945, effective March l.. 1945., and covering the period from that date until the first Monday in January., 1946. Motion carried. Coroner Sweeney excused from the meeting. Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Cummins., that the salary of Thomas Russell., employed as Night Watchman at the County Garage., be fixed at $150.00 per month for the year 1945, effective March 1. 1945, and covering the period from that date until the first Monday in January, 1946. Motion carried, There being no further business to come before the Board at this time., the meeting was adjourned. NO. 7 Office of the County Commissioners Washington., Pa.., March 26., 1945 The Salary Board of the County of Washington met in the Office of the County Commission- ers on Monday., March 26, 1945, with the following members present: County Commissioners Cummins and Pettit, and Deputy Controller Dentel. Motion by Mr. Dentel., seconded by Mr. Pettit., that the salary of Mary Ann St. Clair., employed as Audit Clerk in the Controller's Office, be adjusted to $175-00 per month for the year 1945, effective March 16., 1945, and covering the period from that date until the first Monday in
